The Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is an online platform created for BECE graduates to check their Senior High School (SHS) placement after the release of their BECE results by WAEC. To access SHS placement via https://cssps.gov.gh/, candidates are required to provide their JHS Index Number and a purchased CSSPS eVoucher PIN.
SHS placement is determined based on the BECE aggregate and the choices made following the CSSPS guidelines. The placement is determined based on six subjects, namely English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and the two best-performed subjects of the candidate. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has previously stated that candidates who obtained an aggregate 9 in English Language or Mathematics would not qualify for placement.
Although there is no specific aggregate for school placement, the CSSPS policy guideline stipulates that candidates who obtain an aggregate 9 in English Language or Mathematics, which are the basic required subjects to qualify for placement, may not be placed by the CSSPS. To calculate the aggregate score, candidates can visit the provided link. In summary, the CSSPS online platform provides an efficient and transparent way for BECE graduates to check their SHS placement
