The Management of Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has issued a warning to its students, urging them to refrain from participating in unauthorized activities or face appropriate consequences.
The university is currently conducting an investigation into the tragic incident involving the “chief priest” of the Opoku Ware II Hall, who lost his life during a fire ritual. The university has stated that it will make informed decisions regarding the situation once the investigation is concluded.
In the interim, David Owusu Antwi, the university’s Media Relations Coordinator, informed Citi News that students have been advised to avoid any unsanctioned activities on campus. He mentioned, “The ongoing investigation commissioned by the management is still in its early stages, and it is premature to comment on the findings. We expect to gain a better understanding of the incident as the investigation progresses, and any future decisions will be based on its outcome. Currently, the campus remains peaceful.”
He further noted that most regular students are currently on vacation, with the campus primarily occupied by sandwich students. During this period, the university management has cautioned all students to abstain from engaging in any activities that have not been officially approved.
