Asantehene commits to renovate Asante Kotoko’s Adako Jachie Training Complex

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the owner and life patron of Asante Kotoko, has pledged to rebuild the Adako Jachie Complex, which serves as the club’s training facility. Christopher Damenya, the Chairman of the National Circles Council (NCC), revealed the King’s commitment to transforming the complex into a facility befitting one of the top clubs in Africa.

During a meeting with legends and fans at Manhyia on Friday, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II promised to visit Adako Jachie on Saturday to assess the facility. True to his word, the Asantehene toured the complex and was informed about the challenges faced by the club.

As Kotoko’s representatives took him around the facility and shared their plans for renovation, they sought his support for the project. In response, the Asantehene pledged to rebuild the Adako Jachie Complex and improve its facilities.

“He (Otumfuo) promised to rebuild the AJ project and make it more befitting, so He has taken the architectural design, very soon we will all witness the Adako Jachie project from a different perspective,” Christopher Damenya stated.

In addition to the commitment to rebuild the complex, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has appointed an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee Asante Kotoko’s affairs while the club’s administration undergoes restructuring. The IMC members are Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who is Kontomponiaferehene and a chartered accountant, former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, former Kotoko coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Emmanuel Dasoberi.
