Bawumia claims that the NPP government has created an unprecedented number of job opportunities.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, has highlighted the achievements of the current government in creating jobs for the citizens, especially the youth. He contrasted the high unemployment rate during the tenure of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) with the ease of finding jobs under the current Akufo-Addo-led administration.

According to Dr. Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party government has created 2.1 million jobs for Ghanaians, with 1.2 million jobs in the public sector and 975,000 jobs in the private sector. He stated that this makes the current government the only one since independence to have created more jobs in history.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the job creation data is verifiable and available for anyone to challenge. He acknowledged that there is more work to be done, but the government is committed to creating more jobs for Ghanaians. He also expressed optimism that Ghana can achieve greater economic success, citing countries like Dubai, South Korea, and Singapore as examples to follow
