Bawumia fulfils promise to build hostels for Kayayei?

Presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has announced that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is progressing towards fulfilling his commitment to construct a hostel facility for head porters, commonly known as Kayayei. Aboagye shared on X that two accommodation facilities in Madina and Ashaiman, suburbs of Accra, have been completed and will soon be commissioned. These facilities not only serve as hostels but also function as training centers for the head porters. Aboagye praised Dr. Bawumia, the ruling New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, for this transformative initiative, describing it as a ‘life-changing’ intervention. The presidential staffer highlighted the imminent commissioning of the Kayayei accommodation and skills training centers, expressing gratitude to Dr. Bawumia for delivering on his promise.
