Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia asserts that he has made significant sacrifices for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and deserves the opportunity to lead the party in the 2024 elections. He recalls how he stood as a witness for the NPP during the 2012 general election petition when others were offering excuses.
Addressing delegates in the Suame constituency as part of his Ashanti Region campaign, Dr. Bawumia highlights the numerous sacrifices he has made for the party over the years. He mentions putting his political career on the line as a witness for the party during the election petition, while many others provided various excuses to avoid such risks.
While others claimed to be traveling or expressed fear of jeopardizing their political careers, Dr. Bawumia stood firm, believing he is the best person to lead the party. He emphasizes his dedication and commitment to the NPP’s cause.
