Management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the date for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for school candidates. This announcement was made in a notice served by the Management of the Service on 13th March 2023.
According to the notice, the Management of GES has finally agreed on a date for which all the registered Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates across both Public and Private schools in the country will sit for their first external exams.
It was stated that despite the circulating news about Management, the 2023 BECE date has finally been agreed on. The candidates will sit for their exams starting on 7th August, 2023 through to 11th August, 2023.
GES urged the general public to ignore all fast-spreading news about the Service on vacation dates. All 2023 BECE candidates are advised to take note of this vital update and start preparing for their exams accordingly, as the exams are barely five (5) months away from the date of the announcement.
This announcement comes as good news for the candidates who have been eagerly waiting for the official date for their exams. It is expected that this will also give them ample time to prepare and ensure that they are adequately equipped for the exams.
The BECE is an important exam that serves as a stepping stone for candidates who wish to further their education. It is a requirement for admission into Senior High Schools (SHS) in Ghana and is taken by candidates who have completed their Junior High School (JHS) education.
