Dan Botwe, the former General Secretary of the NPP and MP for Okere Constituency, stated that electing Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would be the NPP’s best and most strategic decision for the 2024 elections. Speaking at a campaign event during Dr. Bawumia’s tour of the Eastern Region, Dan Botwe, who also serves as the Minister for Local Government and Regional Integration, emphasized the importance of strategic decision-making for the party’s success.
He pointed out that he had refrained from speaking during the flagbearership campaign until that moment. Having extensive experience within the NPP and working with various party leaders, Dan Botwe expressed his deep understanding of the party’s dynamics and all ten contestants vying for the position.
Unwavering in his commitment to honesty and integrity, he asserted that his recommendation for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the flagbearer is based on a thorough assessment of the party’s future and the current state of affairs in Ghana.
While he expressed admiration for all aspirants, Dan Botwe made it clear that his love for the NPP surpasses individual preferences. He urged his fellow party members to consider the party’s long-term interests and vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
