Desperate Without A Message; John Mahama Brings No Hope.

Though majority of us as Ghanaians would have appreciated a more self-reliant country devoid of any IMF bailout, we may as well appreciate the external conditions under which Ghana has been hard pressed to revisit the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an Extended Credit Facility (ECF).
The Akufo-Addo led NPP Government has proven to be dedicated to the promises made to Ghanaians. Clearly, NPP is a better manager of the economy than the opposition NDC regardless of the global economic shocks arising from the deadly COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Mr. John Mahama was so bad a President so much so that when the economy under his watch was in tatters, he and his accomplices could not secure an ECF or better put an IMF bailout but for the intervention of the Asantehene, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ababio.
He, John Dramani Mahama has become too desperate for power than ever seen in the political history of this country. Sadly, he comes with no message of hope. Rightly put, Manasseh Azure Awuni argues that “the John Mahama regime was a blot on the already decaying conscience of the nation, an error of an era, and a tragic accident in the history of our country…Any suggestion of a John Mahama return…was cruel, disheartening and insensitive to whoever loved this nation”. Manasseh’s aforementioned argument remains valid to this day. John Mahama must not be President of Ghana again.
