Duffuor no longer challenging NDC primaries, Mahama on track for candidacy

On May 9, 2023, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor filed an interlocutory injunction against the NDC’s presidential and parliamentary primaries scheduled for May 13, 2023, citing irregularities in the party’s electoral album. He also submitted a petition to the Electoral Commission. As a result, the EC has withdrawn from the election until the NDC resolves its internal issues. The case is set to be heard on May 12, 2023, but the NDC’s National Chairman and General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Fifi Kwetey respectively, have both confirmed that the May 13 election will proceed. Recently, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor withdrew his interlocutory injunction filed against the party’s upcoming primaries
