Today, 1st January, marks the first day in 2024 for most part of the world including Africa and Ghana. Let us condition our mind for the new wind of change blowing across Africa led by young people with Pan-African mindset.
As a member of the PLO Lumumba Foundation Ghana-Chapter, make this season a memorable one in terms of fighting against corruption, nurturing, guiding and mentoring young people in your community, supporting activities seeking to promote African unity, togetherness and progress. Be an agent of positive change in your sphere of influence (home, work, church/mosque).
In this year (2024), the Foundation shall be organising programs such as:
▫️PLO Africa Mentees Club Project.
▫️Youth in Governance Conference.
▫️Pan-African Quiz Competition.
▫️Pan-African Farm Community Project
▫️Virtual Events.
It is our expectation that, every member will participate keenly in the programs outlined above. Let’s work together with a renewed spirit of hope that through our little efforts wherever we are, Africa will be great again.
Let’s take inspiration from the wise saying of one of the greatest leaders once lived, Kwame Nkrumah, during his address to the National Assembly in June 12, 1965: “Countrymen, the task ahead is great indeed, and heavy is the responsibility; and yet it is a noble and glorious challenge- a challenge which calls for the courage to dream, the courage to believe, the courage to dare, the courage to do, the courage to envision, the courage to fight, the courage to work, the courage to achieve – to achieve the highest excellencies and the fullest greatness of man …”
