Isaac Adongo Blames Ofori-Atta for Deteriorating Economy and Criticizes his Biblical Quotations.

Isaac Adongo, the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has criticized the Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, for the current state of Ghana’s economy. Adongo expressed his annoyance that Ofori-Atta quotes the Bible while simultaneously causing hardship for Ghanaians and damaging the country’s economy.

Adongo’s remarks were made in response to Ofori-Atta’s statement on the government’s Domestic Debt Exchange Programme in Parliament on Thursday. Adongo argued that the government was not taking the current economic situation seriously enough, and Ofori-Atta’s reading of a statement in Parliament was a waste of time and money.

He further stated that Ofori-Atta’s reference to the Bible was inappropriate in light of the government’s poor management of the economy. Adongo expressed his frustration that pensioners were being denied their benefits while the government squandered public funds and mismanaged the country’s finances. He added that this was one of the reasons why he and others have lost faith in the church.

Before addressing Parliament on the DDEP, Ofori-Atta had quoted a scripture from the Book of Psalms, urging Ghanaians to remain optimistic despite the current economic challenges
