Koku Anyidoho Warns of Corruption and Self-Enrichment Ambitions in NDC’s Pursuit of Power

Koku Anyidoho Vows to Uphold Probity and Accountability in NDC, Highlights Concerns of Corruption

Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho, remains steadfast in his commitment to fight for probity and accountability within the party. Anyidoho raises concerns about certain individuals within the NDC who exploited their positions for personal gain during the party’s previous tenure in power and are poised to continue their unethical practices if the party regains power.

Sharing a video on his Twitter page on June 4, 2023, Anyidoho emphasizes the enduring spirit of probity and accountability. He draws attention to an abandoned block factory allegedly owned by a former NDC general secretary, which has collapsed since the party lost power. Anyidoho questions the intentions behind constructing the factory, suggesting it was intended to secure government contracts in the Eastern Region. He asserts that if power is regained, these individuals aim to rebuild their block factories and engage in corruption. Anyidoho expresses his determination to fight against such practices, invoking the revolutionary spirit of June 4th, emphasizing the values of probity, accountability, and integrity.

Throughout his criticisms, Anyidoho has specifically targeted prominent NDC figures, including the party’s current National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, who formerly served as the general secretary of the party. Consequently, Anyidoho faced suspension from the party on February 8, 2021. Nevertheless, he maintains his membership within the NDC and continues to advocate for the principles he believes in.
