The Paramount Chief of Kumawu, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua II, has called on the NPP-led government to complete the ongoing road construction in the area to dispel rumors that the construction was only initiated after the death of the late MP, Philip Atta Basoah.
While the Kumawuhene acknowledged that the construction of the Kumawu town roads was predetermined by the government, he emphasized that completing the roads would foster trust and confidence in the people that the government was committed to improving their infrastructure.
The Kumawuhene made these comments during a courtesy call by Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, who was in Kumawu to observe the one-week funeral celebration of the late MP.
Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua II stated that he would be disappointed and disgraced if the government failed to complete the town roads after the funeral rites of the late MP.
Furthermore, the Kumawuhene praised Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for his contribution to the nation-building, particularly the Gold for Oil policy, which he described as exceptional and contributing significantly to national development.
