On April 8, 2023, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo attended an Easter bash at Rock City Hotel’s night club in Kwahu, Eastern Region. Thousands of patrons were also present, enjoying the performance of renowned Ghanaian musician Amakye Dede.
In a video shared by Ghana Music on Twitter, the president is seen entering the club while the MC repeatedly shouts “Addo Showboy, Addo Showboy, Addo Showboy.” Accompanied by his guards, President Akufo-Addo makes his way to his seat.
The Rock City Hotel, owned by Abetifi Member of Parliament Bryan Acheampong, who also serves as the agriculture minister, is a popular destination for those celebrating Easter in the Eastern Region.
This is not the first time the president has attended an event at the night club in Kwahu. He was also present at last year’s Easter celebrations
