Kwesi Pratt’s Message to Alan: “Hosanna Singers May Not Always Love You”

Prominent journalist Kwesi Pratt has offered valuable advice to Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen in light of his decision to withdraw from the New Patriotic Party’s upcoming presidential election. Alan Kyerematen recently pulled out of the race, alleging unfair treatment by the party.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, September 5, Alan Kyerematen expressed his concerns, stating that the Special Delegates Conference had shown a clear bias in favor of a particular aspirant. He also highlighted instances of intimidation and violence at voting centers during the election process.

Despite Alan Kyerematen’s popularity and influence within the NPP, he secured only 95 votes in the super delegates election, placing third among the top five candidates set to contest the party’s November 4th primary. This surprising outcome has raised questions.

Kwesi Pratt, offering his perspective, emphasized the importance of learning from this situation. He urged not only Alan Kyerematen but also everyone to take note of the lessons to be drawn. According to Pratt, it’s crucial to understand that not everyone who appears to support you genuinely does so out of love or loyalty. Many individuals may sing your praises and follow you for their own self-interest, rather than a true appreciation of your message. This, Pratt believes, is a significant lesson that applies universally.
