Mahama advises NDC supporters to disregard list of traitor MPs circulating on social media, approved by the Ministry.

During his tour of the Ellembelle Constituency in the Western Region on Sunday (26 March), former President Mahama asked supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to disregard a list of minority lawmakers circulating on social media that appears to suggest they voted in favor of the six ministerial appointees.

Mr. Mahama dismissed the list as “fake” and urged NDC supporters to ignore it. The Minority caucus has faced heavy criticism for breaking rank and approving all six ministers appointed by President Akufo-Addo.

In response, Mr. Mahama encouraged disgruntled NDC supporters to remain steadfast ahead of the 2024 polls, stating that “there are little battles we have to fight before we go into the main battle. And that is one of those we fought a few days ago.” He also advised his supporters not to “throw the baby away with the bathwater” and to remain calm because they need the lawmakers at this crucial moment.
