Ghana’s inflation rate has now decreased for the third month in a row, following a small decrease in January’s rate.
The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) has released its latest data on the country’s inflation rate, revealing a decline to 45.0% for the month of March 2023. This marks a notable drop from February’s rate of 52.8%.
Specifically, the March 2023 rate represents a decrease of 7.8 percentage points compared to the previous month. It is also worth noting that this is the third consecutive decline in the national inflation rate, following a slight dip in February.
While this decline in inflation may come as welcome news to many, it is important to keep in mind that the rate still remains quite high, indicating ongoing economic challenges in Ghana. The GSS will continue to monitor the inflation rate and provide regular updates to the public
