Nana Appiah Mensah, also known as NAM 1, the embattled CEO of the defunct gold-dealership Menzgold, has urged customers to acquire a Menzgold Digital Verification Access Card priced at GHC650 for the purpose of verifying their transactions.
As per an announcement endorsed by NAM1, a newly introduced verification card aims to allow “customers who believe they have genuine indebted transaction claims to verify their transaction status.”
Customers who intend to claim their transactions from the defunct gold-dealership are advised to submit original colored soft copies of supporting documents for their transactions. This submission window is open from August 10th, 2023, to September 14th, 2023.
This measure has become imperative due to the identification of “unacceptable infractions” in more than 60% of received claims, rendering them invalid, as stated in the announcement.
The company’s CEO highlights that this initiative will enable the company to perform due diligence on customers before any payment obligations are fulfilled.
A note of caution is included in the statement for customers who neglect the verification process. It warns that those who do not engage in this procedure risk forfeiting their alleged claims, as their failure to fulfill their obligations would result in the waiver of their claim rights.
