Abraham Twasam, the elder brother of late Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, has responded to claims made by former fetish priestess turned preacher, Nana Agradaa, that his brother practiced black magic, or juju. Agradaa had claimed that God did not rescue Atsu from the earthquake in Turkey because he was unrighteous. Her comments have been criticized by other religious figures, including Ajagurajah and Evangelist Diana Asamoah.
In a viral video, Agradaa stated that people should accept Jesus Christ and not rely on practices such as juju or occultism to enhance their careers, as they cannot escape judgment. However, Atsu’s brother refuted these claims, stating that Atsu was nurtured like a white man and left Ghana for Portugal at the age of 14, where he grew up. He questioned how his brother could have practiced juju if he was raised in such an environment. He added that the family does not have anything to tell Agradaa, and it is up to God to judge the hearts of men.
The one-week observation of Christian Atsu’s passing is scheduled for March 4, 2023, at the Agiringanor Astroturf in Accra. Atsu died in Turkey after an earthquake struck the country, killing thousands
