Nana Ama McBrown’s recent unveiling as the new host of Onua TV’s morning show has stirred up controversies, following her departure from her former employers at Despite Media. Before her move, McBrown had been absent from hosting UTV’s United Showbiz for several months, which led to speculations about her future at UTV. However, McBrown has since shed some light on her decision to leave her former employers.
In an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM, McBrown revealed that she had reached out to her former employers, expressing her desire to explore new opportunities and hold off on her work from December. However, her request for a meeting was ignored, which motivated her decision to leave. McBrown also noted that she did not have a written contract with her former employers, which gave her the freedom to move on without any legal repercussions.
“I was waiting for them to call and say come let’s think about what is new. However, I don’t have a contract with anybody, so if nobody is minding me, I have the right to move on,” she stated.
McBrown’s move to Media General has generated a lot of attention, as she is widely regarded as one of the most talented and versatile personalities in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. With her new role at Onua TV, fans and followers of the actress are excited to see what she brings to the table in her new environment
