Nana Yaa Nyarko, a Ghanaian woman based in London, has revealed the painful story of how she was betrayed by her husband and mother-in-law. In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on her Okukuseku Show, Nana Yaa described how she took out loans to bring her then-fiancé to the UK only for him to divorce her after paying her off. She spoke of how her husband, who was previously quiet, became distant and started having an affair with a woman in Ghana. This led to him cohabiting with his lover and having two children with her. Nana Yaa revealed that her husband lied about traveling to Ghana for business and instead went to be with his second family.
Nana Yaa, who is also a radio presenter, stated that not only did her ex-husband treat her poorly, but his mother also supported his wrongdoings. She added that she had to work hard to repay the loans she took to bring her husband and his mother to London. Despite her efforts, her husband did not officially divorce her and went on to live with his second family in a different part of the UK.
