Newmont Ghana collaborates with Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation in a 3-year support agreement

Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources responsible for Lands and Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio, represented Newmont Ghana Gold Limited (NGGL) in a significant move towards corporate social responsibility. He led a delegation to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation as part of NGGL’s commitment to supporting the foundation’s activities for the next three years.

Under its NGGL initiative, the company is currently involved in the land acquisition process for its Ahafo North Mines, with Mr. Benito Owusu-Bio chairing the Steering Committee overseeing this endeavor. During the MOU signing ceremony, Mr. Owusu-Bio was joined by Mr. Maxwell Adu-Nsarfoa, Technical Director for Lands, and Mr. Peter Awuah, Technical Director for Mines. The collaboration between NGGL and the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation reflects their dedication to promoting corporate social responsibility and supporting community development initiatives.
