NPP Quietly Strategizing for 2024 Elections, Allotey Jacobs Warns NDC

Bernard Allotey Jacobs, the former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned his party against being overly optimistic about winning the 2024 elections solely based on the current economic situation under the Akufo-Addo administration. He believes that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not be an easy opponent to defeat in the upcoming elections.

Allotey Jacobs offered this advice to the NDC while analyzing the recent by-election held in the Kumawu constituency of the Ashanti Region. He pointed out that the outcome of the by-election demonstrates that the NPP is diligently working on building a robust organization in preparation for the next elections.

On Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, he stated, “They shouldn’t assume that they will win the 2024 elections simply because of the economic situation. The NPP is quietly strategizing and strengthening its organization for 2024.” Allotey Jacobs also commended the NPP for their victory in the by-election, where their candidate, Ernest Yaw Anim, emerged as the winner according to the Electoral Commission. Yaw Anim secured 15,264 votes, while the NDC’s candidate, Kwasi Amankwaa, received 3,723 votes.
