Senior nurse commits suicide after girlfriend threatened to dump him

According to a report by 3news.com, Atinga Anyiri David, a senior registered health nurse at Kpasera CHPS Compound in the Central Gonja District’s Mpaha Health Zone, has committed suicide. The cause of his death was due to threats from his girlfriend to leave him after a disagreement. David was found hanging from a tree behind his workplace by local residents. The police were informed by the assembly member of the area, Japo Mohammed, and the body was taken to Damongo Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy. David had previously worked at Mpaha Health Center before transferring to Kpasera CHPS Compound two years prior. The head of the facility and another staff member were not present at the time of the incident
