Police Apprehend Three Students for Attacking Housemaster at Wa Technical Institute
Three students from the Wa Technical Institute in the Upper West region’s Wa municipality have been arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting their housemaster. The incident came to light on Tuesday, July 25, when school authorities filed a formal complaint about the vicious attack on the teacher.
The housemaster, Ishmail Musah Froko, suffered severe injuries and was promptly taken to the Wa Municipal Hospital for urgent medical attention. The assault occurred at the house two block of the Wa Technical Institute while the housemaster was conducting a routine monitoring visit.
During the incident, one student was arrested for assaulting the housemaster, while two others were apprehended for assaulting another student who attempted to rescue the teacher.
The headmaster of the Wa Technical Institute assured parents that the situation was under control and emphasized the school’s commitment to the safety of their children. He urged parents to closely monitor and support the development of their children’s behavior and conduct.
The three students involved in the attack are currently in police custody to assist in ongoing investigations.
