On Tuesday, February 14th, an incident occurred at the Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya during a national prayer service presided over by the country’s President, William Ruto. The prayer service was held to seek divine intervention to end the ongoing drought and hunger crisis in the country.

According to reports, the event was attended by high-ranking government officials, including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, First Lady Rachel Ruto, and Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua, as well as several church leaders.

Details of the incident are unclear, but it has been reported that there was a stampede at the stadium, which led to several injuries. It is not known how many people were injured or the severity of their injuries.

The Kenyan government has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.According to reports, Kenya’s National Prayer Service was proceeding smoothly until a disruption occurred when Pastor Sally from the House of Grace Church in Nairobi collapsed unexpectedly while on the podium

During the National Prayer Service, Pastor Sally, who was among the clerics leading prayers for various issues facing the country, collapsed unexpectedly on the podium. This occurred just after she had finished praying against corruption in the government led by President Ruto.

In a video of the event, Pastor Sally can be seen stepping aside to make way for the next pastor to take the platform, but she then collapses to the ground. Security personnel and ushers quickly rushed to her aid and lifted her away for medical attention. The cause of her collapse is unknown at this time.

It remains unclear if the development was health-related or if it is the saying by Ghana’s former Auditor-General Daniel Domelevo that “if you fight corruption, corruption will fight you” that manifested itself in such a dramatic way.
