During an Air Force graduation event in Colorado, President of the United States (POTUS) Joe Biden stumbled and fell to the ground on Thursday, June 1. After handing over a file to an officer, Biden was returning to his seat when he tripped, but security aides swiftly helped him back up. Upon regaining his footing, Biden, wearing a baseball cap, gestured towards the spot that caused his fall.
The incident has garnered attention on social media, with some questioning Biden’s fitness for the presidency, while others downplay the event as inconsequential. This is not the first time the 81-year-old president has experienced such incidents, as he previously stumbled while boarding Air Force One and had a fall from his bicycle during a casual ride.
Upon his return to the White House, Biden seemingly made light of the incident, jokingly telling reporters that he had been “sandbagged” before playfully trotting with a smile.
