On Sunday, September 10, 2023, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, embarked on a journey from Ghana to Scotland aboard a Vista Jet flight. His purpose for this voyage, as reported by Manhyia-owned Opemsuo Radio, is to deliver a keynote address titled “Traditional Leadership in Modern Society” at the St. Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM), hosted at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

The St Andrews Africa Summit (SAASUM) represents a student-led initiative that fosters extensive discussions about Africa, its people, and African affairs. SAASUM’s primary goal is to create a platform that encourages critical dialogue on prevalent African topics, bringing together professionals, students, and academics. Its aim is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the current trends shaping African Affairs.
