Woyome threatens to sue General Legal Council for disbarring Nerquaye-Tetteh

Allegations have surfaced that businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome intends to take legal action against the General Legal Council. This follows the disqualification of former Chief State Attorney, Samuel Nerquaye-Tetteh, who was reportedly involved in Woyome’s case and purportedly facilitated a transfer of GH¢400,000 to his wife. Woyome, a central figure in the GH¢51 million Waterville judgment debt case, argues that the Council’s actions amount to contempt of court, emphasizing that judicial rulings have absolved him and others involved of any wrongdoing in the contract. Nerquaye-Tetteh’s disqualification stems from his violation of professional standards. Woyome regards the Council’s decision as unfortunate and possibly targeted at him. Despite admitting to transferring the GH¢400,000 to Nerquaye-Tetteh’s wife, Woyome maintains it was solely an act of humanitarianism.
